It’s kind of ironic… I am going to go off on me, and others on NOT KEEPING THEIR WORD, and FOLLOWING THRU… It’s Thursday and I am doing Truthful Tuesday.. lol… I’m not sure when it happened.. when I had so much on my plate that things started falling off. When I put everyone else’s priority list in front of mine.. Doesn’t really matter now.. What matters now is that I quit digging a deeper hole, start saying NO more, and finishing what I start!!!
I have to always be understanding of my Husband and his schedule.. Like when he has to work late because he promised a home owner a job would be done. (For those of you who don’t know,, my Husband is a Tile setter, more like an artist! ) If he has to work weekends, I understand… What is hard, is that the more he works, the less time I have to do what I need to do … YES, I know an excuse… because we all know if it is important enough we will make the time for it… Which flows in to my scheduling…
The only reason I am bringing up my inadequacies… is because I am so sick of people not following thru, when they make you a promise and they either don’t show up, or they come up with some excuse as to why they can’t keep their word… As I was fuming over this, I was thinking about that “Projection” thing…
- Projection as defined in Psychology: also called blame shifting, is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against their own unpleasant impulses by denying their existence while attributing them to others. For example, a person who is rude may constantly accuse other people of being rude.According to some research, the projection of one’s negative qualities onto others is a common process in everyday life….. (I looked it up and found the definition on Wikipedia.) Seriously with the internet these days you can figure out anything… well almost. 😉

there is also a great article on this subject called:
Projection 101: The Devil made me do it! It was written by:
Jennifer Kunst Ph.D.
You could check it out… It was really interesting!
Anyway… so you see… I am more angry at myself… I am “Projecting” my frustrations of not keeping my word, and coming up with lame excuses as to WHY I can’t!!!
Yep… Going on my list (Find that Here) : Say No to others MORE, and say YES to me MORE!
I’m still working on the schedule thing… but I have learned a lot in that last 2 weeks!
Do you say YES to you more, or do you put others priorities first?
